Q1. Do you supply your own ladders?
Yes – Our fitter will bring everything he needs with him in the van. We even bring spares. Should you decide on the day that you need more flooring than originally ordered, our fitter will normally be able to carry out the extra work the same day. We always tell you in your original quote what the larger area would be so you still only pay a fixed price.
Q2. What guarantees do you offer?
We give you a FREE lifetime Ladder Guarantee for as long as you remain in that house.

Q3. Will you need to visit my home to measure up?
We have years of experience and have fitted thousand of loft ladders. This experience has allowed us to develop a set of questions that help us to specify your requirements without visiting your home. If in the unlikely event that we've made a mistake with our fixed price quote, we will stand by that quote and we will not charge you a penny more. The price you see is the price you pay.
Q4. Can you fit a ladder in my area?
Yes we cover all the country and are one of the largest installers of Loft Ladders in the UK.
Q5. Can I have the loft hatch in a different place?
Yes we will happily form a hatch into a new room or re-position if needed. If we are already fitting a new hatch we don't make any additional charge for fitting the new hatch in another room.
Q6. Our loft hatch swings up at the moment so what happens now?
Our installer will in some cases be able to convert your hatch door in to a swing down door by cutting it to size; our hinges and fittings allow the door to be opened using the pole supplied. Your existing hatch door must be at least 1/2" ply and in good condition, the opening must be sufficient to take a loft ladder, our helpful staff will advise you on this and other questions. If you have a modern PVC "push up" door, this will have to be replaced with our PVC-hinged swing down version.

Q8. What is the waiting time to have a loft ladder/package fitted?
After you have received our free quotation you need to telephone our office and speak to one of our advisors who will give you a fixed date that suits you and our installer. A date is usually available within five to ten working days of your phone call.
We supply all our customers with a full written quote and guaranteed price. So you will know exactly how much you will need to pay. We guarantee you will only pay the price quoted.
Q10. Do I have to pay any money up front?
No. We only ask for payment to be made payable to Britton’s Lofts and handed to the installer on completion of the work carried out and when the installer has given you a thorough demonstration.
Q11. How long does it take to fit my loft ladder & chosen package?
This depends on the size of your chosen "loft pack", but usually 2-4 hours but always within a working day.
Q12. Is there any mess & will furniture have to be moved?
Our installer always uses dustsheets and we pride ourselves on leaving your property as found, the floor area directly below the loft hatch in hallways or bedrooms should be clear of furniture etc., on the day of installation.
Q13. Can I tell my friends about your company?
Please do, over 35% of our business is through recommendation from satisfied customers. We will pay you £10.00 as a loyalty bonus for anyone you recommend and who subsequently have a loft pack installed.
